Lexus sales reach new heights in 2021

Lexus had an amazing year in 2021 despite the challenges that the entire automotive industry faced throughout the year. Lexus electrified vehicles did particularly well, with 6,574 units sold, an increase of 26.5% compared to the previous year.

Overall sales for Lexus in 2021 reached an all-time annual record of 25,907 units sold, an increase of 24.4% compared to 2020.

“On behalf of Toyota Canada, I’d like to thank our customers for their continued confidence and trust in Toyota and Lexus,” said Larry Hutchinson, President and CEO of Toyota Canada Inc. “I’d also like to thank our Canadian dealers and their dealership staff for their exceptional effort and focus on meeting the needs of our customers in 2021.”

Two particular hybrid models in the Lexus lineup stood out last year. The Lexus UX Hybrid with 3,282 units sold, registered an increase in sales of 32%. The very popular Lexus RX Hybrid with 1805 units sold, saw its sales increase by 63.1%.

Lexus continues to lead the way when it comes to electrified performance, offering consumers an impressive blend of luxury and efficiency that is rarely seen on the market and certainly very rare in the luxury segment.
