NX – up to 2,000 pounds

The 2023 Lexus NX is one of the most modern and advanced compact SUVs on the market since it was fully redesigned for the 2022 model year. In addition to making the NX more comfortable and practical, this also makes it more capable than you might think in terms of towing. Indeed, every version of the new NX can tow up to 2,000 pounds (907 kilograms), from the powerful plug-in hybrid NX 450h+ to the efficient NX 250. RX – up to 3,494 pounds

The Lexus RX has long been the best-selling Lexus model in Canada and for good reason. The 2023 version improves on all of the elements that have made the previous generation a success, such as refinement and comfort, while also adding a level of performance and efficiency that has never been seen in the RX before. In terms of towing, the new RX doesn’t disappoint either, with a capacity of 3,494 pounds (1,585 kilograms) for every version. This makes the it possible to tow a large variety of equipment while still benefiting from all of the comfort and practicality the RX stands for.

GX – up to 6,499 pounds

The 2023 Lexus GX is a great choice if you are looking for a capable SUV that can tackle difficult terrain conditions and heavy loads with ease while still providing the comfort and refinement you expect from Lexus. With its powerful 4,6L V8 engine and its truck-derived body-on-frame construction, the GX is capable of towing up to 6,499 pounds (2,948 kilograms). This makes it so that you can tow a travel trailer, a horse trailer, or even a boat with the confidence of knowing the 2023 GX can take it easily.

LX – up to 8,003 pounds

The largest and most expensive 2023 Lexus SUV, the LX 600, is unsurprisingly also the one that can tow the heaviest loads. This model is very impressive since it offers limousine-like levels of space, comfort, and luxury for passengers while also benefiting from truck-like capabilities under the hood. The standard twin-turbocharged V6 engine delivers a level of torque that makes it possible to tow loads of up to 8,003 pounds (3,630 kilograms) with ease and confidence.

UXh and RZ – not recommended

While the 2023 Lexus UXh and fully electric RZ 450e are efficient and practical SUVs designed to offer Lexus levels of comfort and technology in a package that’s perfect for driving and parking around town, their compact size prevents them from being able to tow.
