But the most surprising thing is that even with all this power at hand, the RX 450h manages to deliver an outstanding fuel efficiency of 7.9L / 100km city/highway combined.

The Acura MDX uses a 3.5 L V6 that delivers less power than the RX’s engines, and also uses more fuel, with ratings of 12.3L/100km city/9.4 highway/10.8 combined.

Acura says that the MDX will soon have a Type S variant with slightly more power the 450h, but this model is still in the “future vehicles” of the manufacturer’s website.

For 2022, Lexus offers a selection of 17 model and trim configurations – including two-row RX 350 conventional and RX 450h self-charging hybrid models, as well as the three-row RX 350 L and RX 450h L. This is much more flexible and complete than the Acura MDX’s offer.
